The Malt Maniacs Awards

Since 1997, the Malt Maniacs (an international collective of malt whisky enthusiasts) have been enjoying and discussing the pleasures of (single malt) whisky with like-minded whisky lovers from all over the world. Since 2003, we have organised (non-stop) our very own annual ‘amateur’ whisky competition. We like to think that, over the years, our modest little initiative has evolved into one of the leading (and most independent) whisky competitions in the world. You can find more details about our collective and its history on: www.maltmaniacs.net

Not only Scotch single malts were entered in this prestigious whisky competitions, but single malts, blended malts, blends, grain whiskies or whiskey produced in Scotland, Ireland, France, India, Japan, Taiwan or L’Esprit Whisky collection

The Netherlands shipped from Europe and Asia. Thus, the MMA is truly an international representation.

Between the Covid-19 and other issues such as samples for judges confiscated by the customs, the 2019/20 has been a real challenge. However, we are pleased to share with you the results, based on the median scores received.

We also wish to thank all the following participants for joining the Malt Maniacs Awards
